Here at Baltimore’s Most Cynical Alternative Weekly, we approached Fields Festival—a camping retreat in the woods with lots of music and art and falafel—with one eyebrow firmly arched. But somewhere between Lexie Mountain Boys’ hilarious and mesmerizing improvised performance piece by the ropes course and members of Horse Lords and Needle Gun playing Grateful Dead covers in a band called Nuggs, we drank the patchouli-laced Kool-Aid.
