Best Radio DJ

City Paper

A 30-year veteran of Baltimore radio, Mike Brilhart is exactly the kind of golden-throated rock jock you want walking you through the classic rock canon, his enthusiasm undimmed even after the millionth spin of the most overexposed Steve Miller track. As the Bay’s evening DJ, he presides over nightly traditions such as The Vinyl Frontier, where heplays a side of a classic album, and, of course, Get the Led Out, with the love of a diehard who’s not afraid to open a Zep set with ‘The Crunge.’ Not only will he play you deep cuts from ZZ Top’s “Tres Hombres,” he’ll regale you with tales of seeing the band at the Baltimore Civic Center in 1973.
