Perhaps it has to do with Don Draper. Or perhaps it's the abundance of "boutique" varieties of the old go-to whiskey, gin, vodka, etc. Or perhaps it's that the appletini, the cosmo, the orange crush, the shitty drink trends of decades past-none of them were built to last. You know what was? The martini. The manhattan. The old fashioned. Drinks that our grandparents swilled. Not to knock the contemporary: We're happy to experience the classic-cocktails renaissance with the ber high-quality booze that's flooding the market (and our veins).
