Happening Sunday: Flesh World, Faith No More, and more

-Flesh World, Pellars, Expert Alterations, Quitter, DJ William H. Chapman: With Bay-area punk vets from Brilliant Colors and Limp Wrist, noise punk band Flesh World blends gloomy lyrics with queer aesthetics, synthy textures, and fuzzed-out, jangly guitars. Its debut LP “The Wild Animals in My Life” is the brooding soundtrack to the depressing end to a summer weekend, so it’s fitting that it’s playing tonight with local pop and indie bands. 8 p.m., The Windup Space, 12 W. North Ave., (410) 244-8855, thewindupspace.com, $8. (Maura Callahan)

-From the Short List: Faith No More headlines Merriweather Post Pavilion in support of "Sol Invictus," its first album since reuniting, with The Refused opening. Don't miss: The Fifth Dimension hosts a night of synth-y black metal with Minneapolis’ False, D.C.’s Citadel, and Baltimore’s Elagabalus. (Al Shipley)
