Happening Sunday: African Collection Opening Celebration, Prettyboy Tapwater, and more

-African Collection Opening Celebration: We’ve missed the BMA’s African Art collection, but we expect the reopening to be worth the wait. The new exhibit will be three times its original size, and the celebration will include indigo dyeing and zulu beading demonstrations, storytelling, contemporary African dance performances, film screenings, and live music. Don’t forget to check out the Asian Art collection, which also opens today and will be celebrated on June 28. 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Baltimore Museum of Art, 10 Art Museum Drive, (443) 573-1700, artbma.org, free.
