Veep campaign motorcade backs up I-83 North

Driving south on I-83 just after 10 a.m., we noticed a major backup across the median on 83 North. There were maybe a dozen cars with police lights flashing, plus a couple of police motorcycles, and we feared there had been a major accident. Then we got closer and saw a giant bus with the name "Selina Meyer" across the side, above the words "continuity with change."* Meyer is, of course, Julia Louis-Dreyfus' character on the HBO series "Veep," which is currently filming its fourth season. In it, long-suffering second-fiddle Meyer will presumably make her own run for the top job.

We were too slow to snap a picture of the bus as we drove by, but luckily, ABC 2 news reporter Brian Kuebler, who was stuck in the northbound traffic, wasn't. He tweeted the photo above, along with the following.

Was cursing NB JFX traffic jam until I saw it was Elaine Benes. #Veep #Baltimore #Laney pic.twitter.com/8JPKOOkmho

*Correction: A previous version of this story said the words were "integrity and change." We regret the error.
