Happening Sunday: Charlie Murphy, Joy Classic and Small Apartments, and more

-Charlie Murphy: Being a stand-up comedian must be tough. Being a stand-up comedian and Eddie Murphy’s older brother must be tougher. But Charlie Murphy has worked his chops in many reputable ventures, including as a writer and cast member on the dearly departed "Chapelle Show." And if Eddie’s wit is any reflection of Charlie’s, we have good reason to support the lesser-known Murphy. -From the Short List: The Red Room hosts Double Rubble, an evening organized by Jack Wright with performances by two duos. City Paper contributor Geoffrey Himes hosts the Roots Café Christmas Show at An die Musik Live, featuring Alan McEwan. New York rap star French Montana yells “HANH!” at Baltimore Soundstage. Rams Head Live hosts School of Rock Baltimore’s Winter 2014 showcase. Local indie bands Joy Classic and Small Apartments play the Ottobar.
