Happening Sunday: American Wing Opening Celebration at the BMA, "Blade Runner," and more

-American Wing Opening Celebration: As if last week’s “Party of the Century” wasn’t enough, the BMA is celebrating the finalized, $28 million renovation which included the American Wing with artisan craft demos, family activities, birthday cake, food trucks, a multi-artist musical performance led by Brooks Long, and a “ceremonial step-scrubbing performance”—whatever that means. 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Baltimore Museum of Art, 10 Art Museum Drive, (443) 573-1700, artbma.org, free. -From the Short List: Chicago funk band The Main Squeeze performs at Baltimore Soundstage. Don’t miss: English heavy-metal veterans Raven headline the Metro Gallery. (Al Shipley)

Oh, and if you didn't know, tonight City Paper is hosting a screening of "Blade Runner" at the Windup Space (the original cut with the voice-over, for everyone asking). Following the film there will be a boozy panel discussion moderated by CP arts editor Baynard Woods and featuring Maryland Film Festival's Rahne Alexander, professor/ musician Terence Hannum, poet/rapper Abdu Ali Eaton, and CP film editor Brandon Soderberg.
