Back in February, future R&B duo Chiffon released the single 'Venerable,' which CP's Brandon Soderberg wrote "pushes the genre-jumping sophistication of last year's "Marble EP" even further, nodding to ambient music, global bass, club music, '80s pop, and crunk, just to name a few of the sounds we hear crammed inside this fascinating slow jam."
Turns out it's part of an EP, "Cocoon," that the band just uploaded to SoundCloud yesterday. Chiffon also released a totally amazing computer-animated video for the first song on the EP, 'Baited,' in which members Amy Reid and Chase O'Hara are robots—like a cross between those Svedka ads and the cover model on Aerosmith's "Just Push Play"—that drive through a cloudy sky in a flying '50s Cadillac to pilot a much larger robot that shoots hearts out of its exhausts. Watch it below.
