Thomas Dolby to join Talking Heads tribute group Psycho Killers at charity show

1980s electronic-music pioneer and, more recently, Johns Hopkins professor Thomas Dolby will join local Talking Heads tribute act Psycho Killers onstage in November as part of a benefit show.

It's not clear yet which Talking Heads songs Dolby will perform with the band at the concert, a collection drive for Toys For Tots, but Psycho Killers bassist Ryan Porter says talks are ongoing.

"We have had discussions, but nothing is set in stone yet," he writes via email. "He has a deep knowledge of the Talking Heads catalog and has brought up some great options!"

The story, according to a release from the band, goes like this: Dolby caught Psycho Killers late last year and, after finding more videos on YouTube, reached out about playing a few songs together live. After a failed attempt to perform in February, Dolby is set to make flippy floppy with the group at Baltimore Soundstage.

The show is Nov. 27 at 9 p.m. Tickets went on sale Friday and cost $15 in advance, $18 at the door.
