Pratt Library exhibits CP photo editor's pictures from Orlando vigils

The central branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library is exhibiting 28 photos of vigils in Orlando taken by City Paper photo editor J.M. Giordano in the aftermath of the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub that left 49 dead and 53 injured.

Titled "Solidarity In Sadness," the exhibit will likely be up through the summer.

Roswell Encina, director of communications for the library system, said the Pratt wanted to have the exhibit on the library walls in the lead-up to Baltimore Pride, scheduled for July 23.

"We were touched by Joe's images that he posted on social media and the images City Paper posted. The photographs captured the raw feelings of a community that is also being felt by the nation," Encina wrote in an email. "Joe is also a big supporter of the library and an active member of the Pratt Contemporaries."

The pictures are on view now.
