My aunt, who is maybe the biggest Guns N' Roses fan in the world, reviews last night's FedEx Field show

City Paper

Last night, my aunt went to see Guns N' Roses at FedEx Field. The lineup features three original members: Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan. My aunt sent this to me at Facebook at 3 a.m. and said CP should run it. So here we are. She is not a music critic, but she is maybe the biggest Guns N' Roses fan in the world. When I was a kid, she wore a GNR shirt that had the word "shit" on it to some elementary school function of mine—only years later did I realize how fucking awesome that was...

Here is my review of my Axl and the "reunited" band. Axl was amazing. His voice was spot on. He is riding the confidence of singing with AC/DC, I am telling you. He smiled the whole time and was amazing. As for Slash, he got his 17 solo riffs and never smiled or sang one note of GNR. He never looked at his bandmates. Then on top of that they got an "Izzy " exact look alike. Ewwwwwwwwwww, really? Disappointed after seeing Axl in NJ at the Hard Rock Cafe: three hours of music and a meshed band. Don't get me wrong I will never complain about seeing him, but how do you not do 'Estranged' on the piano? As a fan, five strangers and a happy Axl do not make a reunion. Yes, so disappointed. Slash never even addressed he was there. If they don't want to be on the stage together then call it what it is: whore money. I would have went anyway to see Axl; just was so disappointed. And the graphics they had besides a few fireworks were so generic. Anyway, nobody cares probably but I effing do. LOL. Axl was amazing and he was also amazing in 2012 with his replacement band at the Hard Rock. They had chemistry. This "GNR" did not. (Dayna)
