Listen to the new Wildhoney single 'Laura'

As Theo Salem-Mackall wrote for City Paper back in January, Wildhoney should be thought of as a pop band. Yes, a pop band that has some of the hallmarks of shoegaze, but a pop band nevertheless.

Nowhere is this more clear than in the new single 'Laura,' part of the forthcoming EP "Your Face Sideways," due out Oct. 16 on Topshelf Records. Here, the guitars have less of trades in some of that distorted gnashing and for a jangly, shimmering sound, coming off more Stone Roses than My Bloody Valentine. Stream it below.
