Jenn Wasner, Dave Heumann, and Super City to play free BWI shows

Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak, Dave Heumann of Arboretum, and the band Super City will make air travel a little less stressful and soul-crushing as part of a free concert series at the BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport baggage claim hosted by WTMD.

Just think: How much better would the wait at the carousel of suitcases be if it were set to '(This Is Why) I Can't Wear White' or 'Here In The Deep' or 'Easier'? A lot better, I reckon.

But, you know, the baggage claim being a part of the airport that's open to the public and all, you could theoretically just pay to park and go see the show, which is not a bad idea either.

WTMD is no stranger to the airport. The station is in its second year of adding local bands to the rotation of songs playing in the terminal and hosting shows at the baggage claim. Most notoriously, they helped surreptitiously premiere the forthcoming Animal Collective album "Painting With" the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Shows take place 7-10 p.m. at baggage belt five. Here's the schedule:

Feb. 12: Jenn Wasner (solo set)
March 25: Dave Heumann
April 29: Super City
