Organizers have just announced the final lineup for 2015's Maryland Death Fest XIII, which will be held May 21-24 at the combination of the Edison Lot/Rams Head Live/Soundstage that worked out well this year. Additionally, there will be a death metal-focused show at the Ottobar on Thursday, and this writer deems it likely we will eventually be hearing about satellite shows at smaller venues such as the Sidebar.
For the fest's 13th year, organizers have managed to score some impressive gets, including the first-ever live performance from influential grindcore veterans Agoraphobic Nosebleed as well as exclusive U.S. appearances from Amorphis (playing their classic "Tales From the Thousand Lakes" in its entirety), Conan, and Inverloch. Also among the bands making rare appearances in the States: Sweden's Bloodbath and Canada's Razor, playing its first U.S. show since 1992. Other highlights include the return of Neurosis, Obituary, Anaal Nathrakh, and, of course, Triptykon, who was forced to cancel its appearance at MDF XII due to the death of close friend of the band H.R. Giger.
