Sugarvale and Center Cut Doughnuts team up for cocktail and doughnut pairings

We're well beyond the days of the cronut consuming the country's imagination, but pretty much everyone can agree regular ol' doughnuts are delicious.

And now you'll be able to wash them down with boozy cocktails.

Center Cut Doughnuts, which you may have seen at the Hampden Farmers Market, is working with Sugarvale (4 W. Madison St., [410] 609-3162, sugarvalebmore.com), the basement charcuterie bar that CP reviewed a few months ago, to pair their gourmet fried dough with a drink at a pop-up event at the bar this Wednesday. The one-off event includes two doughnut collaborations not ordinarily featured on Center Cut's menu.

Center Cut will be bringing some favorites, such as the Grand Marnier, brown butter, and chocolate and pink peppercorn doughnuts, which Sugarvale will be pairing with an Old Tom Gin Rickey, Manhattanite (a Manahattan with amaro), and Umma Coffee Old Fashioned, respectively.

The collaborations made especially for the pop-up event include a smoked chicken doughnut sandwich with raspberry scorpion chili jam, paired with a blood orange and grapefruit margarita, and hop syrup doughnut glazed with cinnamon sugar pork rinds, paired with a walnut sazerac.

Taste them all tomorrow from 7-11 p.m. at Sugarvale. Doughnuts are first come, first served.
