Chilibrew, the annual charity competition for amateur home brewers and chili-makers alike, is set to take place Oct. 9 at Zion Lutheran Church. Oh yes, right at the start of Baltimore Beer Week. (Disclosure: CP contributor Ryan Detter is a member of Baltibrew, the organizers of Chilibrew.)
As with past years, there are official judges of some renown to weigh on whose brew and chili are best, but attendees who get to sample all that chili and beer ultimately declare winners in various categories. But everybody wins, because this year's benefactors are Baltimore Brew, Farm Alliance of Baltimore City, and FORCE: Upsetting Rape Culture.
Tickets for Chilibrew cost $25 ($40 for VIPs, $10 for competitors) and are on sale now. You'd better get yours now, because they sell out quickly.
