Alchemy in Hampden set to close by end of June

Alchemy, the new American restaurant on the Avenue in Hampden, is set to close so the owners can focus on their restaurant in Bel Air, Alchemy Elements.

Debi-Bell Matassa and Michael Matassa, the couple that opened Alchemy in 2010, announced the closure in an email to customers. The last day of service will be June 30.

"Unfortunately, in order to focus on perfecting & expanding the AE brand, the time has come to say goodbye to our Hampden location," the email says. "We will truly miss each and every one of you."

"Be sure to visit us at our Bel Air location to see our progression and watch us continue to grow," it concludes.
