Rosina Gourmet opens a new location in Fells Point

Just celebrating its 15th year in downtown, serving three square meals a day, Rosina Gourmet is opening its third location, at 1300 Thames St., this week. It is housed just next to Waterfront Kitchen in the Morgan Stanley buliding, what is, for now, the only building in Harbor Point.

Designed like the two other locations in Canton and Downtown—small, intimate, nothing terribly fancy furniture or fixture wise—the shop is compact with a number of cozy two-top tables and counter stools, if you are lucky to score a seat.

It simply is good to know that you can eat at a known spot that serves fresh, surprisingly tasty, and reliable sandwiches, salads, and soups and not have to go to corporate spots like Panera, Corner Bakery, Quiznos or Subway.

The food is not designed for budget conscious, but the fresh ingredients are worth the extra charge.

A few popular items are:

-Italian Specialty sandwich: mortadella, capicola, salami, and pepper ham with provolone, parmesan, romaine lettuce, tomato, red onion, chopped hot peppers, oregano, and red wine vinaigrette on a salted, Italian ciabatta flat sub roll.
-Grilled marinated Mediterranean with crumbled feta, parmesan, field greens, oregano in a mild balsamic vinaigrette on a square ciabatta roll.
-Basil pesto chicken salad: oven roasted, marinated chicken breast tossed in a creamy basil pesto with watercress on a French baguette.
-Honey-Orange BBQ Chicken made with boneless skinless chicken breast with Swiss, topped with homemade chipotle orange BBQ sauce on hearty ciabatta flat bread.
