Pizza lovers, this is not a drill: Pizza Studio to give out free pizza next Thursday

Who doesn't want free pizza? Next Thursday, the newest location of the chain Pizza Studio will celebrate its grand opening at 3201 St. Paul St. in Charles Village by giving away free pizza all day to all its customers.

Beginning at 11 a.m. on March 5, each customer will receive a complimentary 11-inch pizza (normally $7.99). Pizza Studio is a build-your-own place, so you can choose the sauce, crust, cheese, and as many toppings as you want from its more than 35 options.

Given the uncertain future of nearby Maxie's Pizza & Bar, Pizza Studio has a chance to become the pizza go-to for the nearby Hopkins campus, and to that end, it has paired up with some Hopkins student charitable groups—Best Buddies, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and the Dance Marathon—and asks that customers make a donation to one or more of the organizations in lieu of paying for the pizza. The location will also be giving away prizes for customers on Thursday that sign up for its loyalty program.

Pizza Studio will be open Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-midnight.
