Bonaparte Breads is closed temporarily, perhaps for good

A mysterious sign on the door of the Fells Point cafe and bakery Bonaparte Breads indicated the business is closed. The sign, posted on social media, read: "Pierre, (the owner) owed the government $40,000 + he left town and went back to France. He has no money to pay 25%. Bullshit right? R.I.P. Bonaparte, savage is gone too." It was later replaced by a second sign that read "Temporarily Closed."

"We're not sure what's going on," said a source within Fells Point Main Street, an association representing neighborhood businesses. "It's shocking. It was packed last week. But now it's closed."
