Thursday: Blush and Brews

Aug. 25

This month's installment of the free multidisciplinary dance party includes rapper Al Rogers Jr., whose collaborative open-hearted, high-concept hip-hop album with Drew Scott, "Luvadocious" from last year is still revealing itself through further listens (more recently, Rogers Jr. put out a gorgeous R&B-song 'shewoke') and Amy Reid of Chiffon, who sometimes goes by Amsies (Chiffon has a tour kick-off show at the Crown on Sept. 1) and whose solo work expands the already expansive sonics of Chiffon with nods to glitchy R&B and fidgety club music. Also on the bill are Ayes Cold and FoxxyLocs with host Anna Crooks, plus art and prints from Imani Stewart available for purchase.  10 p.m., the Crown, 1910 N. Charles St., (410) 625-4848, facebook.com/TheCrownBaltimore, free. (Brandon Soderberg)
