June 22: Weird Al Yankovic

There are a couple ways of looking at Weird Al Yankovic’s “Mandatory World Tour.” If you’re like most non-fans, you’ll ignore it because silly spoofs of hit songs are beneath you, and anyway he has a whiny voice. But consider: Where else can you hear tonally-correct, professionally rendered live-band versions of just about every pop and rock mega-hit of the past 35 years for a mere 83 bucks? Think of it as the whiny voice, silly lyric discount! OK, then forget you. I’m there, singing along to ‘Eat It!’ 8 p.m., The Hippodrome Theatre, 12 N. Eutaw St., france-merrickpac.com, $58-$85.50.
