June 12: Tour Dem Parks Hon!

Baltimore is home to some charming, exquisite, and, sometimes at night, creepy parks. It can be easy to neglect their proximity because, well, moving and going outside is such a drag when inside is right here right now. But once you see all the parks have to offer, you’ll keep going back, soaking up the gorgeous views and that vitamin D. For the fourteenth year in a row, you can join a bike tour through several spots including Carroll, Clifton, Patterson, and Druid Hill Parks, as well as some “quietly tucked away gems” all in one day. Choose from 14-, 25-, or 35-mile routes—whichever way, it’s a lot to take in, but you can unwind afterwards at the post-ride jazz barbecue. All proceeds benefit the parks as well as “friends of the parks” and local cyclist groups. Morning registration 7:30-9:30 a.m., Rawlings Conservatory at Druid Hill Park, 3100 Swann Drive, tourdemparks.org, $55, $20 for kids 15 and under. (Maura Callahan)
