Dec. 6: The Stoop’s Die Hard Holiday Show

“Everybody’s got a story,” Stoop founders Laura Wexler and Jessica Henkin insist. “What’s yours?” Since 2006, Wexler and Henkin have been gathering local storytellers and hosting their Stoop Storytelling series in theatrical venues around the city—The Creative Alliance, Center Stage, the Meyerhoff, Baltimore Theatre Project, the Windup Space, the BMA, the Baltimore Book Festival, and even the War Memorial (where, during the primaries, they invited all the mayoral candidates to tell a story about their first job). For their “Die Hard Holiday Show: Stories about Surviving the Yuletide Season,” they’ll be back at The Senator once again. The evening begins with cocktails and music by the Swingin Swamis, moves on to the Stoop’s standard formula—seven people telling seven stories in seven minutes—and wraps up with a screening of “Die Hard.”  7 p.m. cocktails and music, 7:30 p.m. show, 9 p.m. screening of “Die Hard,” The Senator Theater, 5904 York Road, (410) 323-4424,, $20.
