Dec. 3 and 4: XXChange Pop-Up Shop

The maker movement keeps building, and the XXChange Pop-Up, the closing event of the month-long "XXChange" exhibition held nextdoor at Area 405, offers up goods handmade by woman-identifying makers for you to take home. As you shop, be sure to also catch the exhibition, which showcases 30 regional woman-identifying artists and artisans including (but not limited to) Aimi Bouillon, Ann Stoddard, Ariel Foster, Bashezo, Bonnie Crawford Kotula, Christine Strong, Dawn Whitmore, Esther Iverem, Freda Mohr, Jenna Carls, Jenniver Zwelling, K. Amelie Haden, Madeline Becker, Mary Frank, Mia Halton, Mollye Bendell, Sarah Marriage, and Sidney Mullis. With fine art and crafts in textiles, wood, 3-D printed polymers, metal and ceramics, furniture and jewelry, the show features interesting and thoughtful pieces and people. 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Open Works, 1400 Greenmount Ave.,, free.
