Aug. 24: Bonnie Raitt

Bonnie Raitt is one of the best performers in music, and you know a bunch of her songs already (‘Thing Called Love,’ ‘Something to Talk About,’ et cetera) whether you realize it or not. This show is better than usual, though, because Richard Thompson and his trio (‘’52 Vincent Black Lightning,’ ‘I feel So Good,’ et cetera) are also on the bill. So one huge performer joins a folk legend, all at a setting you can’t hardly beat. They also play together very nicely. Of course the tickets have all been parceled out to resellers/scalpers. Dang. But what do you expect? 6 p.m., Pier 6 Pavilion, 731 Eastern Ave., (410) 783-4189,, $40-$85. (Edward Ericson, Jr.)
