Bass Nation's All Trapped Out Edition, in which dance-music douchebags like Bro Safari and Brillz try to reclaim the Trap genre from Southern rappers, is at Baltimore Soundstage. MONDAY: If you wanna spend a little extra on tickets to hear some live music while you wait for the ball to drop, there are plenty of options. Pennsylvania-based 98 Rock favorite Halestorm are headlining at Baltimore Soundstage. The 8x10 will party all night with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Dale and the Z-Dubs, and then DELTAnine will play at the first sunrise of 2013. The Ottobar holds a dance party with DJ Craig Boarman, Taxlo's Simon Phoenix, and Stereo Faith. The Tritons play surf rock at Joe Squared Station North. Lotus ends the year with the second of two nights at Rams Head Live. WEDNESDAY: Mean Mary comes from Nashville with a banjo on her knee to Joe Squared Inner Harbor. The Baltimore Boom Bap Society honors the holy triumvirate of kick, snare, and hi-hat at the Windup Space. Massachusetts hardcore band Raindance plays the Charm City Art Space with Discourse and Axis.
