Baltimore is like a cheap date for travelers.
According to GoBankingRates.com – ok, some consumer website based in California – Baltimore ranks no. 8 among the 10 most affordable cities for summer getaways.
The ranking is based heavily on airfare with a round-trip flight to Baltimore coming in at just $272.83, according to data from CheapOair. (Thank you, Southwest.)
The website notes the city is full of fun and affordable things to do. At the top of its list: Walters Art Museum (free); Oriole Park at Camden Yards (cheap); and Fort McHenry National Monument (cheap and free for most kids).
So let’s hear it for being charming – and cheap.
