Ted Deutch's veggie burger gets smacked down

While U.S. Rep. Ted Deutch didn’t win, the South Floridian was one of four vegetarian members of Congress to compete in Wednesday’s first Congressional Veggie Burger Smackdown. A special sauce was created for each of the four members of Congress. The sauce topped FLOTUS sliders created by chef Todd Gray, who made a different sauce for each member of Congress. The winner, voted on by 100 members of Congress and their staffs, was New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, whose slider was paired with slow-cooked tomato chutney.
