Forks turns down request for donation to fight compressor expansion

Following a lengthy debate with township residents and each other, the Forks Township Board of Supervisors denied by a 3-2 vote a request to make a $5,000 donation to the Energy Justice Network to fight Columbia Gas Transmission's compressor expansion project. Sheila Gallagher and her husband, Tom Church, have been before supervisors many times in recent months seeking help in their fight against what they say was Columbia Gas Transmission's failure to obtain the proper permit for the expansion.
