Songwriter honored at first Apollo Awards

Like having an oldies concert in your living room with famous songwriter Dennis Lambert and singer Tony Orlando was The Symphonia Boca Raton's way of celebrating its 10th anniversary. Symphonia president Steve Pomeranz and artistic director and principal trumpet player Jeff Kaye presented the first set of Apollo Awards to Lambert, now living in West Boca, and the late songwriter Ervin Drake. Lambert is credited with 600 songs, including hits from "Ain't No Woman [like the one I got]" to "Baby Come Back" and "Rhinestone Cowboy."
