    It's frustrating to a be film fan here in Baltimore. Not that that the community itself doesn't do all it can to create an exciting and fairly diverse series of screenings and events all the time somewhere or another, it's just that the larger "film culture," tied to bottom-line concerns about distribution and all of that, passes us by way more than we'd like. We're expected to just go to Washington, D.C. and bus it up to NYC to check out a lot of obscurities, revivals, and minor critically acclaimed new flicks or just sit patiently on our hands until they come to home video or streaming.
