Jim Weaver spent the final night of his life watching his son play baseball. He would have wanted nothing more. Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2004 and beset with myriad health challenges since, Weaver lived for family. His Virginia Tech family. His sisters in Pennsylvania. His stepchildren.
