In the six months between the Super Bowl and mid-July, five of your Baltimore Ravens were brought up on crimimal charges—three more than any other team in the NFL. Wide receiver Deonte Thompson was charged with felony possession of marijuana in Feb  ruary, though the case was later dismissed; offensive lineman Jah Reid  was charged with misdemeanor battery after a March fight in a Key West strip club and went into a pretrial intervention program; running back Lorenzo Taliaferro was charged with misdemeanor destruction of property and drunk and disorderly conduct after he allegedly broke the window of a cab; cornerback Jimmy Smith was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct after an incident at the Towson Green Turtle; and, of course, running back Ray Rice knocked his wife unconscious in an elevator and dragged her to a hotel room, for which he went into a pretrial intervention program and was eventually cut from the team, after much public outcry. Bonus: Wide receiver Jacoby Jones, running back Bernard Pierce, and Smith were kicked out of Seacrets in Ocean City over Memorial Day Weekend for being “too inebriated”—no easy feat, Baltimore’s most inebriated alternative weekly can assure you. Throw in a couple clothesline tackles and killer mustaches and these guys could easily fill in for Burt Reynolds’ felon squad in the classic 1974 prison flick.
