Howard, senior, attackman

* Three-year starter and four-year varsity player finished with 88 goals and 29 assists in leading the No. 7 Lions (19-0) to their first Class 4A-3A state title

* Finished with a program-best 260 career points with 186 goals and 74 assists

* Set to play at Siena, totaled seven goals and three assists in Howard’s two state tournament wins

* Said Lions coach Jimmy Creighton: “Scott is a dynamic threat with his ability to create off the dodge, feed, shoot, finish and move off the ball.”

Bryce Carrasco

St. Mary’s, senior, defenseman

* Three-year starter was dominating shutdown defenseman to help lead the No. 1 Saints to the MIAA A Conference title

* Played the lead role in containing Calvert Hall’s Timmy Kelly, St. Paul’s Carter Flaig and McDonogh’s Robert Clark to a combined three goals and one assist in the Saints’ playoff wins

* Set to play at Loyola Maryland, he brought a combination of speed, strength, tenacity and smart positioning to win his one-on-one challenges

* Said St. Mary’s coach Ben Rubeor: “Bryce is fast and strong. He is one of the toughest one-on-one cover guys that I’ve coached. He won his matchup in every game this season. Bryce overcame a lot to get where he is. He was asked to cover the best offensive player on the other team, and he consistently showed that he was up for the challenge.”

Robert Clark

McDonogh, senior, attackman

* Four-year starter improved with each season, emerging as the catalyst to lead the No. 2 Eagles to the MIAA A title game

* Georgetown-bound, consistent performer finished with 49 goals and 21 assists for team-high 70 points this season

* Scored three times in McDonogh’s semifinal win over Boys’ Latin, including an epic one-handed goal in the pivotal third quarter

* Said McDonogh coach Andy Hilgartner: “Extremely tough and consistent player for us all four years. His great field awareness brought balance to his game.”

Ryan Conrad

Loyola Blakefield, senior, midfielder

* Closed out a stellar four-year career with 32 goals, 21 assists and dominating two-way play to lead the No. 6 Dons (9-5) to the MIAA A quarterfinals

* Repeat All-Metro first-team selection, the Virginia commit finished with 187 career points and the league title in his sophomore season

* Under Armour All-American and ranked the No. 1 recruit by Inside Lacrosse in his class since his sophomore season

* Said Loyola Blakefield coach Jack Crawford: “Ryan is absolutely one of the most dominating lacrosse players we have ever had at Loyola and one of the best we’ve seen at the high school level.”

Carter Flaig

St. Paul’s, senior, attackman

* In completing a fine four-year career, the Princeton-bound standout leaves the Crusaders as the program’s all-time leader in points (287) and goals (158)

* Equally adept at scoring and distributing, he finished with 46 goals and 45 assists to lead No. 3 St. Paul’s to the MIAA A semifinals

* Brought tenacity to the field, as evidenced by his team-leading 54 ground balls

* Said St. Paul’s coach Rick Brocato: “He is more than a scorer. He has a tremendous IQ and was our quarterback. He does all the little things well. Overlooked probably was his ability to get a big ground ball in traffic and his tenacity on riding defensemen or goalies.”

Timmy Kelly

Calvert Hall, senior, attackman

* One of the area’s most dominant offensive threats finished with 61 goals and 39 assists, and led the No. 5 Cardinals (12-6) to the MIAA A quarterfinals

* Highly skilled with a grinding style; finished with 148 goals and 123 assists in his four-year career

* Two-time first-team selection, Under Armour All-American was rated as the No. 2 prospect in his class by Inside Lacrosse; committed to North Carolina

* Said Calvert Hall coach Bryan Kelly: “Timmy was the heart and soul of the Cardinals. As a four-year starter, he did it all and dominated in every aspect of the game.”

Alex McGovern

St. Paul’s, senior, midfielder

* Four-year varsity player bounced back after an injury-marred junior season to become the main cog in the middle for the No. 3 Crusaders

* Complete package finished with 40 goals, 25 assists and 44 ground balls with a knack for stepping up late in big games

* Under Armour All-American set to play at North Carolina

* Said St. Paul’s coach Rick Brocato: “He is a classic two-way middie, and is strong on ground balls in traffic as well. He has a cannon of an outside shot and mixes up his shot location well.”

Arman Medghalchi

McDonogh, junior, defenseman

* In his third year on varsity, developed into the top defenseman for the No. 2 Eagles, who averaged under eight goals allowed per game this season

* Often assigned the opponents’ top offensive threat, he was able to dominate with tremendous technical skills

* Has committed orally to play at Princeton

* Said McDonogh coach Andy Hilgartner: “A great on and off defender with versatility to cover multiple styles of attackmen.”

Patrick Spencer

Boys’ Latin, senior, attackman

* Two-year varsity starter was the starting point on attack, finishing with 41 goals and 49 assists to lead the No. 4 Lakers to the MIAA A semifinals

* Versatile and consistent, he played on attack and at midfield, and thrived in the game’s big moments when leaned on the most

* Under Armour All-American is set to play at Loyola Maryland; also an All-Metro second-team guard for the Boys’ Latin B Conference champion basketball team

* Said Lakers coach Bob Shriver: “Patrick has great size and is equally adept with either hand. He brings his point guard skills from basketball to the lacrosse field and has excellent vision while also being a very good dodger.”

Jacob Stover

McDonogh, senior, goalie

* Two-year starter was the glue of a defense filled with underclassmen, providing key direction to go with big saves and smart clears for the MIAA A runner-up and No. 2 Eagles

* Limited opponents to under eight goals per game with 169 saves; made 11 in an 11-6 win over Gilman on McDonogh’s Senior Day

* Under Armour All-American set to play at Loyola Maryland

* Said Eagles coach Andy Hilgartner: “He had a big physical presence in the goal, which forced shooters into trying to find very small spaces. He played angles well and often made the spectacular save when the defense broke down. His consistency will be greatly missed.”
