Most Baltimore residents need only look to the next block down--or to their own block--to witness poverty. But when we're surrounded by overwhelming shittiness, it's easy to forget the economic struggles of rural America. Step outside at the only Baltimore screening of the Sundance jury-winning documentary following a year in the lives of three young boys growing up in the poverty-plagued and ironically named town of Rich Hill, Missouri.

Last month, the 72-year-old reigning soul queen (sorry, Bey) dropped her newest collection of covers, "Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics." The "classic" part spans the length of soul-songstress history, from Etta James to Adele. Several of the covers merge in mashups, including Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive' with Destiny Child's 'Survivor.' It's basically a diva time-warp.
