The second victim of the July 23 double shooting on the 2500 block of Loyola Southway in Northwest Baltimore died July 27. He has been identified as John Carter, a 49-year-old African-American man of the 2400 block of Loyola Southway.
Wednesday, July 26
12:56 a.m. Police say they found two bodies in a Nissan in the 5200 block of Wesley Avenue in Howard Park. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Adjeala Graves, a 32-year-old African-American, and Dante Watson, a 34-year-old African-American.
Thursday, July 27
2:16 a.m. According to police, Douglas Pulley, a 27-year-old African-American man, was standing with several friends near his home on the 1700 block of North Warwick Avenue in West Baltimore when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and three individuals jumped out. One had a shotgun and said it was a robbery; another one pulled out a handgun. Part of Pulley’s group ran off, while others stayed and got robbed. Pulley tried to run but was stopped by the individual with a shotgun, and after a brief struggle the gun went off, hitting Pulley. He was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead. Another unnamed member of Pulley’s group was shot but is in good condition.
Friday, July 28
5:05 a.m. Police responded to a call for a man with a head injury in the 2600 block of Loyola Southway. They found Terrel Griffin, an 18-year-old African-American man from the 4000 block of Park Heights Avenue, lying on top of a bicycle in the street. Griffin was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:45 a.m. due to a gunshot wound to the head. This is the third murder on Loyola Southway in less than two weeks.
11:40 a.m. After responding to a shooting call, police officers found Teon White, a 25-year-old African-American man, lying on the living-room floor of a house on the 2100 block of Koko Lane in West Baltimore. White, of the 2000 block of Braddish Avenue, had been shot several times in his upper torso. Medics arrived and took him to Shock Trauma, where he was pronounced dead at 12:31 p.m.
Saturday, July 29
2:26 a.m. Police responded to a shooting call in the 700 block of Cooks Lane in West Baltimore’s Hunting Ridge neighborhood. There they found find Troy Odoms, a 23-year-old African-American man, lying in the street, bleeding badly from several gunshot wounds to the body. Odoms, of the 3000 block of Thorndale Avenue, was taken to Shock Trauma, where he was pronounced dead at 2:54 a.m.
3:14 p.m. According to police, Santini Stanfield, a 26-year-old black male, was standing in the 1000 block of Booth Street in Southwest Baltimore when a suspect showed up, shot him, then fled in a vehicle. Stanfield, of the unit block of South Arlington Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sunday, July 30
10:30 p.m. Information on the death of 11-year-old Irvin J. Harris, who was found by police late Sunday night in the woods of Clifton Park off the 2900 block of Belair Road, and subsequent arrest of Melvin L. Jones in connection with the crime was not fully available as of press time.
