The man found shot to death in a car in the 6300 block of Fairlawn Avenue on Sept. 30 has been identified as Garrette Saunders, a 27-year-old African-American man.
Police officers arrested Jordan Morgan, an 18-year-old African-American man from West Baltimore, on Oct. 3 for the Sept. 22 murder of 17-year-old Abdul-Bari Muhammad in the parking lot of Mondawmin Mall.
Monday, Oct. 3
6:55 p.m. A man walked into a carry-out restaurant in the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road and got into an argument with the owner, Nae Pak, a 49-year-old Asian man, The man left but came back half an hour later, pulled out a gun, and shot Pak once in the head. Pak was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center but died at 9:33 p.m. William Langley, a 43-year-old African-American man from North Baltimore, was arrested the next day and charged with Pak’s murder. This is the fifth murder in Cherry Hill this year.
Thursday, Oct. 6
11:34 p.m. Davon Jackson, a 22-year-old African-American man, was walking with another man in the 5900 block of Glenn Falls Avenue in Northeast Baltimore when a large group of men walked up to them. Two of the men pulled out guns, and one shot Jackson in the head. The man with Jackson ran away but was hit twice in the shoulder. He survived. Jackson was dead when police arrived.
Sunday, Oct. 9
7:45 a.m. A woman was walking her dog when she saw a body lying in the 4500 block of Franklintown Road, just inside Leakin Park. The unidentified man had been shot in the back of the head.
