Frances Glessner Lee's "Murder Houses" in Photos

Inside the medical examiner’s building are 18 small dollhouses constructed by Frances Glessner Lee, an heiress whose family made its fortune in International Harvester. She spent the 1940s carefully building the tiny dioramas to a 1:12 scale and the meticulously crafted homes hold real clues. They are still used today to train homicide detectives and investigators.
