The Conaways Baltimore City's most prominent political dynasty lost its patriarch this week, as 81-year-old Frank Conaway Sr. died in his sleep. Although Conaway family shenanigans have been a frequent topic of chatter here, no one can doubt that Frank Sr., who served in the House of Delegates and as clerk of the Baltimore City Circuit Court and hosted a show on WOLB, was passionate about Baltimore. It remains to be seen how his children, state Del. Frank Jr. and Register of Wills Belinda, measure up to his considerable legacy.
