Sheila Ann Dixon, curated by City Paper art director Joe MacLeod, features works by numerous local artists--many of them also City Paper contributors--including Mel Guapo, Donald Ely, and Okan Arabacioglu. MacLeod has this to say of the show: "No judgment, just artwork. What is truth?" Work by artist and actress Susan Lowe, who you may remember from pretty much every John Waters movie, will be on display as well. At 9 p.m., Dig with Landis Expandis and DJ Napspace takes the stage. And if you can't make it to the opening, the show will be up long after Dixon's last day as mayor. [more]
