Everything in the restaurant is vegan and made fresh on the premises, making it a haven for people with a plant-based diet. And there are pleasant surprises for meat eaters who want an off-the-charts delicious plant-based meal. The owners are advocates for vegan eating and host Baltimore’s yearly Vegan Soul Festival, where they have free live music, free cooking demonstrations, and samples of food. We can’t visit without sampling the Special Platter which includes one entree of Kush BBQ ribs, curry chicken, or vegan drummies, to name a few, plus two sides or salads. And the chefs haven’t forgotten their proximity to the Chesapeake Bay, so they make a vegan crab cake that is second to none.
