School Plays Students from the Baltimore Lab School, a school for children with learning disabilities, have created a original musical called West Bank Story. It's basically West Side Story set in Israel, with an Israeli border guard as Maria and a Palestinian student as Tony. The students wrote seven original songs for the show and proceeds from the Nov. 12 performance at Load of Fun (120 W. North Ave., [410] 261-5500, loadoffun.net) goes to an organization that promotes Israeli/Palestinian peace.

The seminar, called "Deconstructing the Musical Audition: From the Musical Director's Perspective," will teach would-be Broadway babies how to choose audition songs and prepare a piece for an accompanist, as well as helping them hone their skills.
